ON THE ICE SINCE 3

His first word was "ball" but he quickly moved on to puck. On the ice since 3, and playing hockey since 5, Jake has developed into a top tier player. Bowie Bruins were his home team until he started jumping teams to play higher level AA and AAA club hockey. In high school he played both club and high school hockey. He holds the DeMatha High School record for most goals in Jr Varsity his Freshman year. He made varsity his sophomore year. He was instrumental in taking his team to the 2017 WCAC League Championship and the 2017 MAPHL Finals. He broke the DeMatha Varsity record for most goals in a single season his senior year Varsity Season 2016-2017 with 33 goals and 55 points in 37 games.  He was named 2017 WCAC League First Team.

In May 2017 he signed with the EHL Teir 3 Junior Hockey Team Total Athletics Seahawks located on Cape Cod in Hyannis, Massachusetts. 

In November 2017 Jake transfered teams. He went to the Hampton Roads Whalers (USPHL) Elite team. He went on to have a great season, putting up 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points in 38 games for the Whalers Elite team.  The Hampton Roads Jr. Whalers are have re-signed 1999 forward Jacob Kaplan from Bowie, MD for the 2018-2019 season at the Premiere Level.
